Description: Farmed on the volcanic soils on the Campanian volcanic arc, Sabino Loffredo's Greco wines are powerful, briny and age-worthy, all qualities of true volcanic wines. A former sport instructor, Loffredo founded the Pietracupa estate in 1993 and has been a custodian of sorts to the indigenous varieties of Campania, elevating the quality of the local wines.
The 2017 Greco di Tufo by Pietracupa is said to be one of the best Italian white wines out there. It spends 8 months ageing in stainless steel tanks on its lees for increased complexity.
