Type: Red Wine
Region & Country: Mendoza, Argentina
Description: Susana Balbo was the first woman to have received her degree in oenology in Argentina and had also obtained the highest GPA in the history of the university. Susana had originally intended to pursue a career in nuclear physics which was what her prior education was in. But she put that all behind her to become a winemaker and to eventually take over the family wine estate. Susana founded her own estate in 1999. This is her Signature Malbec, made with grapes grown and harvested at over 1200 metres above sea level in the Uco Valley, and aged for about a total of 13 months, with a proportion of the wines matured in new French oak. Deep, complex and super juicy, this wine is both fun and serious at the same time.
