Type: White Wine
Region & Country: Nahe, Germany
Description: Tim Frölich became the youngest man to have ever won the Gault & Millau Winemaker of the Year award in 2010 at only 31 years old. Considered a wine prodigy of sorts, Tim's wines from the lesser known Bockenau in the Nahe have caught the attention of sommeliers and the greatest winemakers everywhere. For a young estate, only founded in the 70s, this is a huge accomplishment in such a short amount of time.
The Felseneck vineyard has a volcanic subsoil with blue Devonian slate, basalt and quarts soils. The 2011 Felseneck Spätlese Riesling wines are powerful and racy, full of flavour and freshness. This is a Riesling that you are sure to remember for a long while.
