Description: Salvo Foti has had quite the decorated career having had worked in some top wineries in Italy, such as Biondi Santi and Benanti. It was only in 2001 that he had decided to start his own estate, I Vigneri di Salvo Foti. He has quickly become known as the 'godfather' of Etna and it's easy to understand why. The wines have incredible depth and complexity and yearn to be had with food. The wines of Etna are often described to resemble those of Burgundy but Salvo Foti's wines seem to be more reminiscent of the wines of Tuscany, with a more pronounced tannin and acid structure.
