Description: The estate of Château Rieussec has an incredibly long history, one that predates the French Revolution. In 1855, it was categorised into the Grand Cru Classé classification for Bordeaux wines and was awarded the Premier Cru Classé classification. The vines of the estate are planted on soils of gravel, clay, sand and limestone. Vinification takes place completely in French oak barrels with the maturation taking place 50% in new French oak for 30 months.
