Description: The Cullen family were amongst the first to plant vines in the Margaret River in the 60s, alongside a few other prominent names such as Cape Mentelle and Moss Wood. Vanya Cullen had taken over in the 90s and had slowly implemented steps and changes to improve the quality of the winery. One of those steps was the conversion of the estate's farming methods to biodynamics in 2003. The winery has also begun a carbon-offset program that aimed to take carbon out of the environment through the reforestation of trees. It is one of the most awarded estates in Margaret River.
The Sauvignon Blanc Sémillon blend comes from fruit sourced directly from the Cullen Vineyard. The hand harvested fruit is barrel fermented with natural yeast. About 75% of the wine spent about 5 months in new French oak barrels for improved complexity.
