The wines are made in a few different wine regions in Spain; Ribeira Sacra, Extremadura, Almansa and the Tenerife. The goal has been simple - to produce high quality wines with the local varieties and bring greater exposure to these lesser known regions that have great potential for character and idiosyncrasy.
The Benje Tinto is made with a variety local to the Canary Islands in Spain called Listán Prieto. It more popularly known across the world in Chile as País or the Misión grape. The wines are light bodied and mineral, fresh and spicy.
